Inspired by the poetry and magic of the story „The God of small things“ by Arundhati Roy, a series of 12 monotypes (each 23 x 31 cm) was created in 2021.
The monotype is an immediate technique, in which nothing can be corrected or taken back. As a result, the focus in the artistic process is on personal and immediate perception. It is less about reproducing the content of the narrative in a precise manner, but rather about tracking down the emotional and poetic content and transforming it into an artistic language of its own.
