Casa Maribel
Art Deco Villa with History
Casa Maribel was designed in 1920 by the well-known Mallorcan architect Guillem Forteza. The house, like the street beside it, carries the name of the builder's daughter.
For many decades, the villa was left to itself. It wasn't until 2015 that Claudia and Manfred Keupen found a house whose soul touched them, and restored it with love and respect, bringing it back to life. Casa Maribel has been their home ever since.
Today, Casa Maribel is an artists' house. Its atmosphere is shaped by patina, colour, and a mix of Cuban and Mediterranean elements. The style of the house is bohemian: patina instead of smoothed-over walls.

The Hideaway is on the second floor of Casa Maribel. It includes a spacious, partly shaded rooftop terrace and the romantic tower, offering a sheltered retreat above the rooftops of Palma.
The terrace is reserved exclusively for Hideaway guests.

A narrow, typically Mallorcan staircase leads from the first floor of the house up to the terrace and the apartment.
The apartment is about 22 m² and suits one person or a couple (queen-size bed, 140 x 200 cm). It includes an open sleeping and living area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom area, open yet separated by glass panels.

a well-established neighbourhood at the edge of town
La Vileta is a lively, well-established neighbourhood on the outskirts of Palma. Supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies and small shops are all close by.
The neighbourhood is well connected to central Palma. Public transport links and the nearby motorway make for short trips into the city and the surrounding area.
Maribel sits at a junction of Cami de la Vileta, which only gets busier during the morning and evening rush hours.
The apartment is not suited for guests looking for absolute quiet.

The stop for bus line 8, which runs into the centre every 8 minutes during the day, is right next to the house (1 minute on foot). The ride into central Palma takes about 15 minutes.
